Website privacy and cookies policy

I. Definitions

All capitalised words correspond to the definitions contained in the Website Terms and Conditions, to which this document is annexed.

II. General information

  1. The privacy and cookies policy concerns the processing of personal data by Marski LLC dba EUROHATS 214 Chapin Road, Essex, VT 05452 and the use of cookies.
  2. The Website obtains information about Customers and their behaviour in the following ways: 
  • by saving cookies on the end device,
  • by information voluntarily entered in the forms
  • by collecting web server logs by the website hosting operator (necessary for the correct operation of the website)

III. Information included in forms

  1. Marski LLC dba EUROHATS collects information that is voluntarily provided by the Customer.
  2. Marski LLC dba EUROHATS may automatically collect information about connection parameters (time, IP address).
  3. The data included in the form are made available to third parties only with the consent of the Customer, unless otherwise specified below (as required by law).
  4. The data provided in the form are processed for the purpose resulting from the function of a given form, e.g. to respond to an inquiry.

IV. Information on cookies

  1. The website uses cookies.
  2. Cookies are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored on the Customer’s end device and are intended for the use of the website. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the period of their storing on the end device and a unique reference number.
  3. The entity saving cookies on the Customer’s end device and accessing them is the operator of the Marski LLC dba EUROHATS website.
  4. Cookies are used for the following purposes:
  • to produce statistics which help to understand how the website users use the website, which in turn allows to improve its structure and content;
  • to profile the Customer to show them tailored content on advertising networks, in particular the Google network

5. The website uses two basic types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary files that are stored on the Customer’s end device until logging out, leaving the website or turning off the software (web browser). Persistent cookies are stored on the Customer’s end device for the time specified in the cookie parameters or until they are deleted by the Customer.

6. The software for browsing websites (web browser) usually allows storing cookies on the Customer’s end device by default. The Customers can change the settings in that scope. The web browser allows you to delete cookies. It is also possible to automatically block cookies. Browser support or documentation provide detailed information in this respect.

7. Limitating the use of cookies may affect some of the functions available on the website.

8. Cookies stored on the Customer’s end device may also be used by advertisers and partners cooperating with the websites.

9. Cookies may be used by advertising networks, in particular the Google network, to display advertisements tailored to the way the Customer uses the website. For this purpose, they may store information about the Customer’s navigation path or time spent on a specific page.

10. The Customer may refuse to allow the processing of cookies by not giving consent to the processing of cookies displayed on the website (this may cause the website to function incorrectly). In terms of Customer preference information collected by the Google advertising network, the user can view and edit cookie information using the following tool: https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/.

V. Server logs

  1. Information about certain behaviour of Customers is subject to logging in the server layer. The data are used solely to administer the website and to ensure the most efficient operation of the hosting services provided.
  2. The browsed resources are identified by URLs. In addition, the following information may be saved:
  • receipt time of an order or inquiry,
  • response time,
  • the Customer’s workstation name – identification via HTTP protocol,
  • information on errors that occurred during the execution of HTTP transaction,
  • URL address of a page previously visited by the Customer (referer link) – if the website was accessed via a link,
  • Customer’s browser information, main IP address information. The above data are not associated with specific people browsing the website – they are anonymous in legal terms.
  • The above data is used only for server administration purposes.

VI. Data sharing

  1. Data should only be made accessible to external parties within the limits of the law.
  2. Marski LLC dba EUROHATS may be required to provide information collected via the website to authorised authorities based on lawful requests to the extent resulting from the request.
  3. In this case, Customers will be informed of the new controller of their personal data in accordance with the applicable legislation.
  4. The recipients of the data may be the controller’s IT service providers.

VII. Protection of personal data

  1. The Marski LLC dba EUROHATS website cares about the security of Customers’ personal data, so whenever providing personal data is required, the connection between the Customer and the server is encrypted. This ensures that Customers do not have to worry that data sent to or from the server will be viewed, intercepted and used by someone.

  3. Personal data have been provided knowingly and voluntarily and will only be processed for the purposes described in paragraphs III(4), IV(4) and V(4) of this document.
  4. Without explicit consent, personal data will not be shared with other data recipients, apart from subcontractors providing IT services to us for system maintenance purposes.

VIII. Amendment, correction, deletion, processing of personal data.

  1. For any information on how to access, amend, correct or delete your personal data, please contact our Customer Service Department at e-mail.store@starlinghatsusa.com.
  2. If you have any questions, please contact our Data Protection Officer at: store@starlinghatsusa.com.
  3. Marski LLC dba EUROHATS uses automated processing of personal data such as profiling in order to adapt the offer to the Customer’s personal preferences.
  4. The Customer has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
  5. For a description of how to withdraw your consent to the processing of cookies, please refer to paragraph IX of this document.
  6. Consents for the processing of personal data always have a duration indicated; if no such duration is specified, they shall remain in force until any revocation of the consent and, after such revocation, until the statute of limitations expires for the claims to which the controller is entitled and against the controller, unless the processing is carried out on the basis of legal provisions other than the consent given.

IX. Managing cookies – how to give and withdraw consent in practice?

  1. If the Customer does not want to use cookies, they can change the browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies necessary for authentication processes, security, maintaining Customer’s preferences may hinder, or in extreme cases prevent, the use of the website.
  2. To manage cookie settings, select the web browser/system you are using from the list below and follow the instructions:
